Pat Gorman

Pat was co-founder of Manhattan Design, one of this century's most innovative studios. Her most famous work, the Mtv logo, was the first animated corporate identity. She has been keynote speaker at many AIGA events, and is written about in the major books on 20th century graphic design. The New York Times Magazine included her work among the 100 most influential designs of the century. She has been featured in Graphis, Billboard, TIME and Art Director magazines.

Her outstanding work in package design, particularly for the music industry, has eaned many awards, including a Clio and an Mtv VideoMusic Award. Her jacket designs include Talking Heads, REM, Billy Idol, Duran Duran, The Kronos Quartet, 10,000 Maniacs, and Suzanne Vega.

Pat has designed the sets for the Mtv VideoMusic Award Ceremony and the Mtv New Year's Eve Extravaganza. Her interior designs have also been commissioned for nightclubs and stores.
