This book contains 26 hand colored computer realized images printed ink jet on handmade paper specially produced at the Dieu Donné Papermill in New York City with the MINSKY watermark. The pictures are adapted from 16th through 19th century engravings of animals, which are scanned and variously altered.

Each image faces a fragment of text, suggesting a story which stimulates the reader's imagination.
