Barbara Slate

Barbara has been called The Queen of Comics. She created the first "liberated woman" cartoon character, Ms. Liz, which was animated on 20 episodes on the Today show in the 80's. In addition to producing over 2 million greeting cards, Barbara's merchandising company, Ms. liz, Inc., licensed the character for many products, and as a spokescharacter for Dupont Lycra.

Barbara created, wrote and drewYuppies from Hell for Marvel Comics. She wrote all the Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Disney's Pocahontas comics for Marvel. She created, wrote and drew Angel Love for DC Comics and has written hundreds of others, including over 60 Barbie comics for Marvel, and many Betty and Veronica comics for Archie.

Her portraits and other works of art have been featured in sevral gallery and museum shows. Barbara designed a huge mural of Noah's Ark for a chateau in France. This work has been in exeution for two years by a team of artists.

Barbara also creates and writes film and animation scripts.
